Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Monday came down heavily on the State Government and asked the advocate general to take a final call within next 48 hours or else the court shall be compel to act.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the government’s approach in controlling the spread of COVID-19 in Telangana. The Chief Justice gave a reference of total lockdown in National capital New Delhi and asked the Government to make swift decision.
It warned the government to take a decision on the imposition of lockdown or curfew in the state within 48 hours or else issue orders themselves. The High Court expressed impatience that the government was not taking action except conducting reviews on the spread of covid .
The High Court expressed dissatisfaction over the report submitted by the authorities to this extent. Once again a full report was ordered to be submitted. The High Court directed to furnish the details of covid on the website. The virtual hearing today was attended top functionaries of the health department, who failed apprise the bench about the furnishing of the accurate details of various public gatherings including clubs, pubs, gyms,malls etc whether or not any sort of COVID-19 are being taken.
The details of corona cases registered in GHMC should be submitted ward wise. The RTPCR report said it wanted to see the report within 24 hours. The next date of hearing is posted for April 23.
