Viral News Boy :- The majority of the people around me often complain of waist pain and sometimes it gets so painful that some of them get frustrated and cry. Meanwhile, the pain may be a result of the various lifestyles (such as diets and physical activities) and medical conditions(such as arthritis, sleeping disorder, kidney problem, osteoporosis, and cancer of the spine) that many people experience daily. 

 

Other risk factors of waist pain can be pregnancy, older age, excessive weight, genetic factors, stress, or poor physical fitness which may transfer the pain from the back to the thigh and sometimes the legs and feet.

However, there are home remedies that can be used to prevent, reduce, and possibly treat chronic waist pain which will be discussed in this article.

1. Eat Anti-inflammatory diets 

Foods like sardine, mackerel, oranges, tomatoes, strawberries, almonds, and vegetables are rich in anti-inflammatory properties that can ease inflammation and reduce the risk of diseases that may be related to waist pain.

2. Adequate sleep/rest 

Sometimes, inadequate rest/sleep may result in joints pain especially in the waist. Sleeping position or mattress may also contribute to this pain hence, adequate sleep can help relax the body, promote circulation, and improve muscle movement. Sleep between 7-8 hours daily can help to prevent and relieve waist pain.

3. Use of exercise 

Exercise such as crunch, yoga, and stretch can help to build strong muscles and promote blood circulation which can help to reduce waste pain. Since excessive weight support and increase the risk of waist pain, regular exercise can help to lighten body weight, prevent, and reduce waist pain.

4. Use Ice and Heat 

Application of ice should be done first to reduce body temperature in other to constrict the blood vessels, reduce inflammation, and reduce swelling(if any). Heat therapy can then be applied to improve soft tissues and muscles flexibility. It can also treat injured tissues and promote blood circulation in the lower back.

5. Reduce/Quit smoking 

Smoking can reduce and prevent the absorption of calcium for new bone growth that may cause back and waist pain. Hence, reducing or quitting smoking may reduce waist pain.

Medical treatment such as the use of painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs, and antidepressants can also be applied to treat waist pain. Yet, living a healthy lifestyle(by including vitamin D diets and exercise in daily lifestyles) can contribute a lot in preventing waist pain in young and old people.
